How a roller shutter door installation runs
- Site survey. We measure the opening, check headroom and side room, look at the structure the guides will fix to, and establish what access and clearance the site requires.
- Specification and quote. Door, drive, safety devices and any structural work, priced as separate lines.
- Access arrangements. Vetting, induction and permits organised before manufacture completes.
- Manufacture. Built to the measured opening, assembled and cycled in the workshop.
- Installation. Guides plumbed, barrel levelled, curtain tracked, drive set and tested.
- Handover. Operation, manual release and maintenance explained to whoever will use it.
Working on controlled and restricted sites
Parts of this market require security vetting, escorted access, controlled tools and restrictions on what may be brought on site or photographed. We arrange clearance in advance, brief our teams on the site rules before they arrive, and account for tools and materials in and out. Those are not obstacles to work around, they are the conditions of doing the work at all.
Installing on an operation that does not close
Cargo, courier and hotel buildings cannot give up an opening for a day in the middle of a wave. We plan installations into the quietest window the site has, frequently overnight, take one bay at a time, and leave everything secure and operable at the end of each shift.
Structural work on older Isando buildings
Much of the Isando industrial stock has been working for decades, and the steel around an opening has taken a long life. We assess what the guides are going to bolt to at survey and quote the steel repair as its own line rather than discovering it on installation day.
Cold chain and food-grade installations
Chilled and food-production openings need seals, thresholds and hardware specified for temperature and wash-down, and the changeover planned so the space is not open longer than it has to be. We plan those with the site’s quality people rather than around them.
Shopfront and retail installations
Fit-out work at Festival Mall, Kempton Square and the trading strips is done inside the centre’s permitted hours, usually at night, and to the centre’s own fit-out specification.

No. Our own teams install what we manufacture. It matters more than it sounds: when installation is subcontracted to whoever is nearest, nobody owns the result, and the warranty conversation a year later becomes an argument about whose fault it was.
A structurally sound opening and, for motorised doors, a power supply at the right side of it. The site survey checks both. If the opening needs steelwork or the power needs moving, that is itemised in the quote rather than discovered on installation day.
